My name is Jamie Cohen. I hold a PhD in media and cultural studies with a focus on memes, internet culture, virtual reality (immersive tech), and social media. I teach media studies and digital media at CUNY Queens College and I also run a media archaeology course in Rome, Italy.

I have an interest in empowering people to increase their media and meme literacies through creating, experimentation and transformative education. My goal is to continue learning always and share what I can with the world through my writing an in my classrooms.
